Proton will be releasing new model on their list which is what they called it as Proton MPV 2009. This model will the first one ever build for this type of car in Malaysia. The announcement of this new car on when it will be releasing to the public and open for buying is yet to be expose. The price is also still something in the sky. But i would say the pricing for this car probably range between RM60K to RM80K. It should not be reach to up RM100k. However, proton should has the final answer. Some people reported that the design of this Multi Purpose Vehicle is more less like Toyota Wish in term of the design. But can this MPV act like Toyota wish too? In term of the space, it can fit with standard of 7 passengers. But it is depend with the size of the passenger too, if they has bigger size, 5 passengers will be fit nicely with this type.
Since there is no name for this car, Proton has launched a contest to “name” this car. If you are very creative, this is your best opportunity to give it a try. The winner will bring back this car. The details of this contest can be found at proton website.
In term of the design i hope this car can focus more into the aspect like fuel consumption aspect. We all know car like Gen-2 seem to be eating a lot of fuel in comparison with others car in the same model. My hope also the spare parts for this car can be easily be found in our country.
